Katie

Described by Susan as “innovative,” “ingenious,” and “fearless,” Katie leads The OpEd Project, an amazing organization that she founded to elevate women’s leadership, broaden public knowledge, and make the world smarter. She’s also a runner and an enthusiastic doodler who can “talk to dogs.” We’ll have to hear more about that one in Puglia.

Other things to know about Katie:
1. She wrote a book about the fairy tale The Little Red Riding Hood. Related fact: she loves the color red.
2. She spends a lot of time “closely observing the lives of four beloved boys (one of them an adult) who live with me.”
3. She’s lived in Haiti, Naples, and Berkeley. Current location: Brooklyn!

How she met Susan:

Susan was one of Katie’s earliest advisers and one of the OpEd Project’s earliest supporters.

How she defines #SusanStyle:

“Generous and kind and fiercely loyal. Also: sparkly eyes and glamorous hair!”

On her Puglia Wishlist:
Dance, eat, sleep, talk, learn
